This is a review for a trainline, not a venue! Train trips always drain me because of the neon lights and the general design of the interior of the coaches. They seem to have the “wrong” colours, the “wrong” shapes, and the seats surface is often rough and I can feel it through the fabric of my clothes on my skin. The Avanti West Coast coaches have suitable colours, shapes and lighting. The light tubes on the ceiling are hidden under a plane that is hanging a couple of inches lower. As a result of this, we don't see the tubes but light softly "escapes" from the edges of the plane. There are also some white spotlights at regular intervals which have the right intensity. There is also some soft blue light coming from the sides and underneath the shelves where luggage can be stored. The colour scheme of the furniture, walls, floors and space divides is based on various gradations of grey with some white elements. The seats are comfortable and the fabric that covers them is not rough.
