Physical Accessibility
The sign says Hospital for Sick Children, which is confusing. At the top of a hill. The orthopaedic section is round the back so not the easiest to find. Signposted inside and a bit of walking to get there. Staff will walk with you between the different sections. However, I got lost on the way out and had difficulty finding where I had left my bike. There is bike parking as well as car parking.Toilets
There were several single unit accessible toilets close to where I was.Sensory Considerations
There were other people so there was noise. I seem to remember some banging at some point. Staff moved computer screens round so I did not see them. The x-ray machine was noisy, but my ear defenders helped.Busyness
I suspect hospitals are always busy. I think I was a bit late, but still had to wait.Staff and support
The staff were generally excellent. The surgeon I saw answered all my questions. The other staff were very helpful and guided me between the different sections. The only exception was the receptionist at the x-ray department who unhelpful in finding me somewhere quiet to sit away from other people.
